Holman Christian Standard Bible

Speaking of beautiful translations (see previous post, The ABCs of Bible Translation) - has anyone used the Holman Christian Standard Bible much? It's the third option in the TNIV-ESV debate. I've used it a bit & so far, really like it. What do you think?

I think the HCSB reads just like the NIV. Don't see how it's much different or better than the NIV.
I prefer the TNIV - with it's gender accuracy and updated language. the ESV seems a bit awkward and outdated for my taste

I've been doing some research on the HCSB and just bought an inexpensive copy yesterday, so haven't had much of a chance to read it for myself yet. It's supposed to be more accurate than the NIV, but not as woodenly accurate as the NASB. I got interested in checking it out because of the new Apologetics Study Bible in the HCSB, that would seem to link a number of big names in apologetics to this translation. I like what I've read so far. I've been looking for something readable that's somewhere between the NIV and the NASB.
